Carpel Video opened its doors in Frederick in 1983, and we've been saving people's memories ever since.
Founded by Andy Carpel, the shop grew up alongside the technology, video production, film and tape transferring, disc duplication, one format at a time. When the formats changed (and they always changed), we learned the new ones and kept the old ones running. That's how you end up having seen literally every possible video, CD, and DVD scenario, and coming out mostly unscathed.
Four decades later, we've served over 14,000 individuals and companies. Some came for a thousand duplicated discs. Some came with a single shoebox of 8mm film and no idea what was on it. We treated both the same way: with the right questions, honest pricing, and the care their project deserved.
We're still right here on East Patrick Street in Frederick. Still doing every bit of the work in-house. Still answering the phone ourselves. Because the whole point of a local shop is that there's a real person on the other end who actually cares whether your memories make it back safe.
